Charlie and Sandy Johnson started Balloons by Absolute Value, part of Absolute Value Sales and Marketing over 30 years ago.
 
A true mom and pop business, as our business grew we added our sons and daughter, and now we have the grand kids working with us.  The great looking girls above holding the balloons are our granddaughters. Now, How sweet is that!

Some say it takes a village to raise a child,  I believe that to be true.  I also know that it takes great customers, superb service, a quality product, fair pricing, but most of all it took family and friends to make our business. Below is most of our staff that prepares the 10,000 balloon release for the Denver Broncos each year. 



We wanted to be the best balloon decorators in Denver so we bought every video, book and magazine that we could find on balloon decorating and design. This gave us our basic knowledge on balloon decor, experience taught us to be the best.

When one of our great customers would ask us if we could create a certain theme for their party.  We would say "sure", and then we would start to layout the project on paper, begin to design and then turn their theme into reality.  

Sandy and I always had that can do attitude, as Bob the Builder would say "Can you build it?  Yes, we can".  Every time one of our customers challenged us with a new theme or idea they were helping to make Balloons by Absolute Value the premier balloon decorator in the Rocky Mountain Region.  

Almost every successful company has that one moment in time that makes their business a real success.  Ours was doing a 10,000 balloon release for Bob Dole and Jack Kemp in "96" in the center of downtown Denver.  When we delivered 10,000 balloons in two semi trailer trucks. 

From then on when a customer would ask if we delivered balloons, we would say " Do I need to rent semi's to deliver the balloons like we did the 10,000 balloons for Bob Dole".  Their confidence and comfort level rose, again another great customer helped build Balloons by Absolute Value.

From the beginning, Sandy and I knew we had to give back to the community, our charitable organization was the Susan G. Komen - Race for the Cure. 

We saw this disease breast cancer, as something that crossed all races, religions, ages, and even sexes.  We our proud to say that we have been doing the balloons for the "Race for the Cure" since they had 3,500 to 4,000 walkers.  This great race now has over 66,000 participants.
